SAMUELSTAFFING.COM is Hiring a Director of Nursing (RN) Near Grand Rapids, MI
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing services, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern long-term care.
- Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision.
- Monitors care to ensure that residents are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Participate in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
- Reports and investigates all allegations of resident abuse, neglect, misappropriation, and injuries of unknown origin.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
- Develops, maintains, and implements nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Develops, maintains, and implements a program for monitoring communicable and/or infectious diseases among residents, staff, and visitors.
- Participates in the admission process.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
- BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
- Experience in geriatric and rehabilitative nursing practices.
